Important Updates on the Chamber Health Plan
Effective 12/01/2024, the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce can offer a health insurance plan to your employees and their families through the Chamber of Commerce Executives of Kansas. This plan, Chamber Solutions, is for qualified member businesses with 2-100 employees in the state of Kansas. The Chamber Solutions Health Care plan replaced the Chamber Blue plan that was implemented in 2023 with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas. The Chamber Blue plan was shut down by December 31, 2024, due to ruling by the Department of Justice.
Chamber Solutions, an Aetna Funding Advantage Medical Plan, is a level-funded product that offers the stability of a level monthly payment and stop loss protection with the ability to share in any claims funding surplus. Groups will receive individually underwritten proposals, and it also includes access to Aetna’s Choice POSII (Open Access) broad national network, two state-wide local networks, and value-added member programs. There is a discount for being a member of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce and other one-time credits (effective until 3/1/2025).
As a member of the Great Bend Chamber of Commerce, you don’t have to wait for open enrollment to do underwriting and obtain a pricing proposal. If you would like to use your local broker, please contact them to get signed up to be able to offer this product to other businesses. Local Brokers
The plan is open to brokers to sell, unlike the Chamber Blue plan, which was only sold by BCBS. The groups can use Gallagher Benefits Services or their local insurance brokers. If a local broker wants to offer Chamber Solutions, please have them contact Tim Shrout with Gallagher Benefits.
